JUDGING

Photos will be judged by senior members of the Oshawa Camera Club trained in judging.  The judges will be looking for:

  • • Highest consideration – Does the photo tell a strong story with a focus on Oshawa and does the strength of the story impact the viewer to say wow
  • • Second consideration – Technical quality of the photo, is it sharp and in focus
  • • Third consideration – Does it have a clear subject or point of focus of the story, or is the photo too busy and cluttered making it confusing

Tip:  Photos that are identifiable as being in Oshawa will score higher (i.e. low score – a close-up of a flower vs. high score – a flower that is identifiable at an Oshawa facility or the Oshawa event like the Peony Festival).
