About the Oshawa Camera Club
The Oshawa Camera Club is a community of photographers who share a passion for learning, creativity, and connection. Since 1938, the club has brought together photographers from across Durham Region to develop skills, share ideas, and enjoy photography together.
With members ranging from beginners to experienced photographers, OCC offers a welcoming environment where everyone can grow at their own pace.
Our History
Founded in 1938 as the General Motors Camera Club, the Oshawa Camera Club is one of the longest-running camera clubs in Canada.
Over the years, the club has evolved alongside photography itself, from black and white prints to colour slides and now digital imaging. Today, our annual PhotoEx exhibition showcases both digital and printed work from our members.
Meetings & Speakers
We meet regularly from September to May, with presentations, learning nights, and guest speakers throughout the season.
Competitions
Members can take part in in-club competitions, receive feedback, and work toward annual awards.
Outings & Workshops
Club outings and workshops give members opportunities to learn, practise, and connect.

Meeting time:
7:00pm to 9:00pm
OCC meets regularly on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from September to May. Times may vary depending on the program.
Members may also take part in activities during the summer months.
Membership
OCC has a membership cap of 130 members. Annual membership is $85 per person.
If the club is at capacity, prospective members may be added to a wait list.
Guest Passes
Guests are welcome to attend meetings before joining. Guest passes are available online from September to May.
Speaker nights have a $10 guest fee. Regular competition results meetings are free for guests.
