The Oshawa Camera Club is proud to be celebrating it’s 85th anniversary, in 2022-23 season. Founded in 1938 as the General Motors Camera Club, it is one of the oldest camera clubs in Canada. The Club has been exhibiting photos since 1938 and, over the years, exhibits progressed from black and white to colour slides. Today, our Annual Photo Exhibition is a multimedia display of digital images and prints. We have 130 very talented members, with skills ranging from novice to expert. We are proud to have 2 corporate sponsors who provide us with invaluable service and knowledge: Henry’s Photo & Video and Vistek.

The OCC meets twice each month, from September to April. We hold several in-club competitions each year, which have members earning points from their submissions to compete for the ‘Photographer of the Year’ award. The Club conducts a robust educational program, with members and guest speakers providing the core of the program. We also offer club outings and workshops, which serve as both social and educational events. The OCC also competes outside our club. We are a member of the Ontario Council of Camera Clubs (OCCC).

We do have a membership cap of 130. Annual Club Fee is $65 per person. If you wish to join the club, please email our Membership Director, Kathy Braznick, and she would be happy to get you registered for this season. In the event we have reached capacity, you have the option to be put on a wait list. We appreciate your interest in our club and look forward to meeting you.
