OCC Outing: Pickering Pioneer Village – Nov 18

We have the unique opportunity to photograph the village and staff while they do their dress rehearsal for the Xmas event that will be open to the public for Dec. 2. We will likely be the only ones on site so this should be an excellent outing to get people in period costume.

BorderTrends Frame Sale – Now until Nov 17th

I’ve been to their warehouse sales a few times. Very good quality frames at cheap prices during their warehouse sale. If you do print your images, now you can afford to frame them as well.

The sooner you go, the better the selection. It’s whatever they have on hand.

Bring your own Boxes and Bags to carry the frames.

Cheers, Bharat. (No, I’m not affiliated with them, I’m just a bargain hunter!)

BOAA presents Ethan Meleg. Nov. 30th

The Bowmanville Older Adults Association, with help and input from the Clarington Photography Club, has been presenting a program this year called “Life Through The Lens”.  Using workshops, excursions and seminars, this program has encouraged participants to express themselves through photography.  The BOAA will be hosting a wrap-up event – which is open to everyone! – on November 30, 2018.  For only $20, there will be a Social Hour starting at 5:00 pm, followed by a sit-down dinner – AND a presentation by renowned outdoor photographer, Ethan Meleg!  Ethan will be sharing with us his “Confessions of a Crazed Photographer”.  There will also be a cash bar available.
This evening promises to be a lot of fun, and we hope your club members will consider joining us.  We would really appreciate your circulating this info and the attached poster to your members.  Ticket information is available by calling the Bowmanville Older Adults centre at 905-697-2856, or by emailing them at execdirector@bowmanvilleolderadults.com.
