A great opportunity for those interested in photographing high level equestrians!
August 31 at Lane’s End Stables will hold competitions of Horse Trials. Located in the heart of the Kawartha’s , just north of Bobcaygeon.
This an opportunity to photograph three separate disciplines of horsemanship in one day!
- Dressage – a form of balance and artistry making movements that show the beauty and grace of the horse. (Starts at 8am)
- Hunter – jumping through a course with control and precision. (Starts at 9:30am)
- Cross Country where horse and rider gallop over 5 km of obstacles, hills and water showing the endurance and courage of both horse and rider. (Starts at 11)
Further updates will be provided for those that sign up.
Note; These are closed circuits for the Hunter and Cross Country events but you will be advised where you can go safely without hindering the competitions. Dressage will take place within fenced in areas.
Recommend equipment:
- 24-70mm for closeups and wider area coverage
- 70-200mm lens for Hunter and Cross Country events where you would be at a distance.
- NO Flash photography.
- Bring your own lunch/Snacks/water. (May have vendors selling food)
