A dated, but still very interesting quote - from National Geographic - August 1995 issue: "Before heading out, a photographer packs film - lots of it. In 1993 our photographers shot 46,769 rolls, about 1,683,600 frames. That year 1,408 pictures were published. A .001 batting average."
