2010-2011 Clinics Winning Images Clinic 1Clinic 2Clinic 3Clinic 4 Member Personal Galleries InstructionsEach club member is now allowed up to 700 images
(seven hundred) in their personal gallery.
The following points should be noted:
1. You can submit images that are from a trip, follow a theme or are
just "Various Images".
e.g. Trip to Panama, Butterflies, Various Images, etc.
2. I will not add titles/names to any images. Whatever they are named
when you give them to me will be the name displayed on the screen
with the image. e.g. Monarch Butterfly.jpg, IMG_6789.jpg, etc.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not include a # in the image name -- the program I
use has problems with it.
3. The program I use will display your images on a web page as thumbnails.
You can then view the larger version of the image from the thumbnail
or by using 'arrow icons', etc. as is typical of web galleries.
You can also view images as a slideshow.
4. Images will be approximately 600 pixels maximum on the longest side
when displayed.
5. Images will be displayed with some metadata (if it's available) ie. f-stop,
shutter speed, focal length, etc. UNLESS YOU ASK ME NOT TO DISPLAY IT.
6. Email your images to me if you want (in small batches or in a not too large
"zip file") or give them to me on a CD. Size is irrelevent (if you give them to
me on a CD) since the software I use will resize the images anyway. Please keep
the following in mind:
For categories of images, please enter images in separate folders.
Name the folders as you want the category to be titled on the site.
The best way for you to submit large numbers of images to me (from my
point of view at least) is to use a 'zip' file and the website mediafire.com
That way we don't need to connect with CDs or thumb drives. If you're comfortable
using zip files, add your images to a single zip file/archive and upload it to the website
mediafire.com It's a reliable, trustworthy site, it's free and they do not require
any registration on your part or mine. They allow files up to 100 MB in size which should
be more than enough.
If zip files mean nothing to you, using a CD or thumb drive is just fine. We just
need to arrange getting it to me.
7. Images must be in JPG format.
